Just a couple of years ago the customer journey was simple: a Google search, ten links, a choice. Now more and more people ask an AI assistant — “which furniture maker in Chișinău should I choose,” “where can I get a website for a clinic” — and get a ready answer with two or three names. And Google itself shows an AI answer above the regular results.
The companies that make it into such answers are the ones AI “knows” enough about to recommend with confidence. It relies on what it sees online: the company website, answers to questions, reviews, mentions in articles and directories, and map data.
You can’t buy a spot in a ChatGPT answer. But you can give AI more reasons to name you: a clear website with direct answers, consistent company data, and mentions on platforms the models trust.
