M01 · The problem

Why your store lives on ads alone

Many stores in Moldova get almost all their orders from paid ads. While the ads run, there are sales. Pause them, or let a competitor raise their bids, and orders drop. Organic search traffic works differently: once a page starts ranking, it brings buyers for months.

In a store, the main source of that traffic isn’t the home page or the blog — it’s the categories. People search for “gray corner sofa,” “washable wall paint,” “chrome shower faucet.” If you don’t have a separate page for that query, Google shows a competitor who does.

That’s why we start with structure: which product groups and subgroups people search for, which filters are worth turning into separate pages, and which ones to block from indexing so you don’t end up with thousands of empty duplicates.

M02 · What we do

SEO that understands e-commerce

  1. Category structure

We map demand to groups and subgroups: “sofas” → “corner sofas” → “corner sofas with storage.” Each page targets its own query, with no cannibalization.

  2. Filters without clutter

Filter combinations with real demand (“gray sofa,” “sofa bed”) go into the index with their own title and copy. We block the rest so search bots don’t waste time on them.

  3. Product pages

Title and description templates, clear specs, photos, reviews. Product markup with price and availability — so that data appears right in search results.

  4. Catalog speed

Large catalogs are often slow on phones. We optimize images, filters and loading so category pages open fast.

  5. Google Shopping

Product feed and Merchant Center: free product listings with price and photo on Google, and a foundation for Shopping ads if you want them.

  6. Content that helps choose

Category copy and “how to choose” articles that answer buyer questions and lead them to the right category.

M05 · Moldova

A store in Moldova: two languages, double the demand

Shoppers in Moldova search for products in both Russian and Romanian — “краска для стен” and “vopsea pentru pereți” (both mean “wall paint”). These are two different sets of queries, and each needs its own language version of the category with correct hreflang. Otherwise Google shows one version to everyone or mixes them up.

Retail competition is noticeably lower than in Romania or Russia: in many categories, the top 10 is filled with marketplaces and sites nobody has optimized. A store with a well-planned structure and decent product pages can get there — as in the case study above.

If you’re still planning your store, it’s cheaper to build in the SEO structure during development than to rework a finished catalog. More on that on the online store development page.

M08 · FAQ

Online store SEO FAQ

We have thousands of products — is that a problem?

No, but it takes a systematic approach: templates and rules instead of editing each product page by hand. Manual work is only for categories and best-selling products.

Do you work with WooCommerce and Shopify?

Yes, and with other platforms. After the audit we’ll tell you what’s limiting growth on yours and whether it can be fixed without migrating.

What matters more — SEO or Shopping?

They complement each other. Shopping gives quick results for specific products, SEO brings steady category traffic that doesn’t depend on your ad budget.

Do we need unique descriptions for every product?

Not for all of them. We start with the categories and products people search for most. For the rest, a good template and complete specs are enough.

Products are often out of stock. What do we do with those pages?

A temporarily unavailable product stays up with a note and similar products. A permanently discontinued one is redirected to its category or a replacement, so you don’t lose traffic.

Can you promote a store in two languages?

Yes, and in Moldova it’s almost always necessary. We create separate language versions of categories with hreflang and research queries in each language separately.
